With so much preparation leading up to the big event, Panditji went above and beyond our already high expectations on the day of the actual ceremony. He speaks multiple languages, and took great care to translate the Sanskrit shlokas for our English-speaking guests, and explain their greater symbolic meaning and history where appropriate. All of our wedding guests, of different faith backgrounds, told us that ours was one of the most beautiful wedding ceremonies they’ve ever attended of any religion. This day would not have been the same without him! That we were also the first documented gay Hindu wedding in Spain was just the cherry on top. As we discussed numerous times with Panditji, here’s to hoping our wedding can help open the doors for other LGBT couples who want to celebrate and honor their love with our Vedic rituals.
